EAA 800 Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 10:35 on Sept. 17, 2016, with Kim Neibauer presiding.

There were 19 members and 2 guests present.

Treasurer’s report by Ken Hurt - $2085.56 checking, $109.89 petty cash, savings $25.01

Minutes of the September meeting were read and approved.

Young Eagles Report: EAA800 flew 24 kids in September, one at a time. They have all shown up for HAWK since. Thanks to pilots and ground crew for keeping the flight line orderly and safe, and Jerry & Barbara Friedman for helping Jeri Hurt organize the check in process.

New Business:
Kim announced Copper State Fly In on October 27, 28, 29 in Mesa AZ.

There was a question as to whether Chapter 800 can be a member of HAWK. Kim was going to research that question.

Discussion of our Christmas Lunch came up and we voted to have our Christmas Lunch at El Tapatio in Fruita, S. of the interstate, on Saturday, December 10. Kim will make arrangements.

Old Business:
The tabled discussion from September about Ch. 800 paying for HAWKs hangar was brought up again. After hearing pros and cons, Pat Weyland moved that Chapter 800 continue paying $125 monthly for HAWK’s hangar. Michelle Hobbs seconded the motion and it passed.

After introducing Steve and Debbie Richard, both pilots and EAA members who have recently relocated to the Grand Valley from California, the meeting adjourned for burgers, brats and hangar talk at 11:30.
