EAA 800 Meeting Minutes

President Kim Neibauer called our meeting to order about 10:34 AM in Ladd’s hangar at Mack Mesa Airport. There were 25 members and guests present.

Minutes: of the June meeting were approved as read with a motion and second by Sterling Hurst and Ken Hurt.

Treasurer’s report: Ken reported a current balance of $1962.67 in checking after paying for the two Oshkosh campsites. His report was approved as given with a motion and second by Sterling Hurst and John Caldwell.

Old Business:

• Location change for the Friday, Aug 19 CMU Aviation Day for 7th graders: Now rm 111 in Hawthorne Bldg, S. of Rugby field. We can meet for set up on Thursday, 6:30 PM. Jeri Hurt is the contact EAA800’er.
• Logistics for 12 HAWKs plus chapter members driving to Oshkosh will be worked out before leaving on Thursday, July 21. What, me worry? What’s the hurry?
• The Dakota Hawk was parked out in front of Ladd’s hangar for inspection. There were little things yet to be finished before departure on Thursday. It is cleaning up real nice.

New Business:

• Jay Scheevel requested to have his airplane be a Tech Program with Tech Evaluators Graham and Lowell from Chapter 1373 at the August meeting, prior to his inspection.
• Kim announced that Third Class Medicals have been signed into law!

The meeting was adjourned for a lunch of carnitas, dump cake and hangar talk.

Our next meeting will be Saturday, Aug at 10 AM. Plans will be made for Jay’s plane inspection by tech evaluators, Graham and Lowell from Montrose/Delta chapter 1373.
