Ken Hurt gave a treasurer’s report indicating the following balances in the bank: savings~ $25.01 checking~ $1062.67. The report was approved as given after a motion and second by Sterling Hurst and Brian Miller.
Michael Cosby (corrected) reported a donation for HAWK aviators of 45 power airplanes for a fundraiser.
Our next meeting will be back at Mack Mesa on the 3rd Saturday of February at 10 AM, with a meeting of HAWK aviators to follow.
The meeting adjourned at 10:15 for the tour of Twin Otter conducted by Tate Bernier, pilot, and Al Stancato, long-time employee.
Interesting tidbits from the tour were the size of the planes and their slow speed, which makes them ideal for scientific research. The pilot said he had ferried one to Australia and it was a very long flight!
Following the tour, about 16 members adjourned to the Village Inn on Horizon Drive for food and stories.
