EAA 800 Meeting Minutes

Meeting was opened at 10:30 by Syndi Jochums.

Guest were introduced: Kurt and Ray from Crestone Aviation

  Ray pilot 19 yr

Treasurers Report:
  $ 25.01 savings, $ 486 checking,

Web Steve not present, no known problems

Brian, still 3 ft of snow at wreck site,
  Plan on right after Easter between snow melt and irrigation water

Jay was sick, after feeling better has recovered personal items.
  Is fine but less talkative.

March Minutes were read and approved.

Starting planning on flying club formation
  Should check with insurance to see what to form

Barb and Kin manned booth at Fruita CoOp

Roy Evert (donated #28) can not find engine mount,
  Donated an Icom A200 Radio

Ed has found an engine mount at OSH, complete with mounts $250
  Ken might have transportation to get it here.
  Has a lead for an Exhaust for $150
  Mount and hardware purchase approved
  Exhaust purchase approved, funds donated, by Stephen Robbins
  Oil tank has been picked up.

Jim Gilington, glider flight instructor
  Is setting up winch launch glider operation at Delta
  Grand Mesa Soaring, working on organizing the glider operation

Barb Young Eagles
  6 pilots, 30 committed young eagles (including troop from Fruita)
  Staff should arrive at 08:30, plan to start flying at 09:00
  Slide show and young eagles EAA movie
  There will be food for staff
  Paperwork is done
  Ken will do rib building

Ray has old EAA publications, some 50 years old, magazines, early books
