EAA 800 Meeting Minutes

Minutes from the EAA800 meeting of July 20, 2013 as reported by Ken Hurt

The meeting was called to order and conducted by Vice President Jerry Friedman at 10:20am. Several visitors were welcomed, including Jeff Goodrich, EAA800’s first Young Eagle. We thank Barbara Friedman and Jeri Hurst for the wonderful food we are about to eat!

The minutes from the June meeting were called for but none could be found and so were accepted as written on the web page.

The treasurer’s report was as follows: Savings Account - $25.01; Checking Account - $1231.44; Petty Cash -$173.00. The report was accepted as read.

Old Business:

• Young Eagles planning for Sept. 21: Should we start flying earlier in the morning? Some discussion followed with a supporting consensus but no details.
• Nest meeting to be on August 17.
• Builder’s Progress: Mitchell Flying Wing?
  • KR getting close (working with FAA).
• Delta meeting last week had several RANS models and a Representative answering questions.
• Gluing instruction class today after meeting for Dakota Hawk!
• What’s happening at Walker Field?
• Experimental Light Sport Inspection Class in Fall, cost $375.

New Business:

• Ray and Marge 60th Anniversary next month and you’re all invited!
• Ray Scheevel- Bubble canopy parts (home built)
• September meeting to be 9/14/2013
