Dwayne Watson talked about what is going on at Grand Junction Airport. Anyone interested in supporting the General Aviation interests with respect to GJT should consider joining the GJT Pilots and Users Group. The Chapter will send out an email to the members that discusses this. The Sunday paper on March 18, 2012 covered a lot of activity and issues going on at GJT concerning the final gate configuration and tenant access.
Syndi discussed the upcoming Young Eagles Day on April 28th. It will be the week following the April Chapter meeting.
Roger Bulla gave a short presentation on his aircraft accident in 2009 when he was flying his KR2 to a Fly-In in Illinois. There were several factors that contributed to his higher fuel burn rate and resulted in him running out of fuel a few miles from his destination airport.
The minutes from the February meeting were read and approved.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:35 AM for burgers and hot dogs.
