The meeting was called to order at 10:20 AM by Sterling Hurst in Ladd Klingsmith's hanger at Mack Mesa Airport.
The minutes from the May meeting were read and approved.
The Treasurer reported that we have moved our account to Western Rockies Credit Union and that our balance is $1450.11.
Jay announced that we had received a box of Wick's Aircraft Co Catalogs. They were available for any one who wanted one.
Sterling introduced the guests:
Sterling thanked Josh Wesley for taking the members on a tour of Westar Aviation facilities at the May meeting.
The next Young Eagles day was discussed. A source of Young Eagles may be the local 4H club. Steve will coordinate with Ladd to see what kind of interest there may be.
There is an Airshow at Rifle on 8-9 July 2011.
There is a fly-in at Monticello, Utah on Saturday June 25th.
There is a Pancake breakfast at Granby on July 2nd, see Chapter 1373's website for details.
Josh reported that he should have his Cessna 150 flying in the next few weeks.
Ladd told us about his Carbon Cub including its history and a little about its performance.
Ladd also discussed the plans for the airport that include a campground (airplane camping), new hangers, and an RV park. Ladd and airport owner, Steve Brown invited the Chapter to move our meeting location to Mack. They said we could put up signs at the entrance to the airport and on the hanger.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:15 AM so members could look at airplanes and later have lunch.
