EAA 800 Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 10:05 AM by the President, Dennis Crawford.

Bob Caskey gave a short description of his Zenith 801 testing to date and how he fixed his high oil temperature problem. Bob had to leave to attend a CAF meeting also that morning.

The minutes from the January meeting were read and approved.

The Treasurer reported that we have $1489.66 in the account after paying Dag for the heating bill and the use of his hanger. Ray also mentioned that there are two EAA calendars left for $10 a piece.

Steve Lindemann reported that he has added one members airplane pictures to the web page under Aircraft/Projects. All members are reminded to email Steve pictures of your airplane (or project) for the website. Using a link to your website also works well.

Dennis announced that Sterling is in the hospital with pneumonia. A card was passed around for members to sign that will be given to Nancy.

Jim Grady and Steve said that they will have some projects/activities for the kids to work on for the next Young Eagles Day. This will keep the kids busy while they are waiting to fly.

With respect to Mark Howard's books, the Guzaiks will contact the college in Rangley to see if they would be interested in having them for their pilot program.

It was agreed that the Chapter will purchase a table for the President to use at the meetings. Ray suggested that we get one at Sam's Club.

Syndi Jokums noted that it will be year at the end of February since Lane became ill in Iraq. He is doing well and is always interested to hear what is going on back home. His email is: papabug13@gmail.com

Josh Wesely and his father Phil gave a fantastic presentation on their electric powered, remote controlled aircraft and helicopters. They had several of the airplanes they have built on display. Josh explained the types of motors they use, control systems and electronics.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 AM for hamburgers and hot dogs.
